How to Prepare Creamy Mushroom Gemelli Pasta.

Bring salted water in a big pot to a boil over high heat.
Cook the Gemelli pasta per the directions on the package after the water has
reached a rolling boil. Drain the pasta and set aside 1 cup of the cooking
water.

Slice all of the mushrooms thinly in the meantime. Next,
mince the thyme, rosemary, and garlic.

A big sauté pan should be heated to medium. Add the
butter, garlic, and mushrooms. After that, generously salt the mushrooms.

The mushrooms should be stirred and sautéed for 5–6
minutes to allow the juices to come out.

Fresh herbs and cooking sherry should also be added. Once
the majority of the fluid has boiled down, stir well and simmer for a further
three to five minutes.

Add the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream and stir.

Pasta that has been drained should be added to the sauté
pan once the cheese has melted into the sauce. Stir the noodles to evenly
distribute the mushroom sauce. To thin the sauce, add 1/2 to 1 cup of the pasta
water you saved.

After the pasta has been well covered and the sauce has
somewhat thickened, taste it and add salt and pepper as desired.

Suggestions for serving.

Serve warm and top with more Parmesan cheese.

The pasta makes a delicious vegetarian one-bowl meal on
its own. For a heartier supper, serve with a green salad and crusty bread.

Speaking of full dinners, spaghetti with mushroom cream
sauce makes a fantastic side dish. It pairs perfectly with steaks, pork chops,
and flaky white fish.
