• Skinless, boneless chicken breasts (chicken thighs also
work!).

• Chicken bouillon, or broth.

• Mrs. Dash Original Seasoning Mix or your preferred spice
mixture.

• A tiny bit of salt.

 

How to Make Chicken Shreds in an Instant Pot.

has cooled, place it in a plastic zip-top bag, press out all the air, and then

Recipe for Instant Pot Shredded Chicken
(All-Purpose).

TIME SPENT ON PREP: 10 minutes

AVERAGE TIME: 25 minutes

A simple recipe for delicious shredded chicken breasts in an
Instant Pot that can be made with fresh or frozen chicken.

Ingredients

• 3 pounds of boneless chicken thighs or breasts.

• One cup of chicken broth.

• 1 12 tablespoons salt;

 2 teaspoons Mrs. Dash Original
Seasoning mix or any salt-free herb mix.

 

Instructions.

1. Insert the chicken breast into the pressure cooker. (Rack
not required.) Salt and Mrs. Dash Seasoning should be liberally applied to the
chicken breasts. Then, pour the chicken with the broth.

2. Securing the Instant Pot lid. Next, set Pressure. Cook for
10 minutes on high.

3. After the timer rings, carry out a “Natural
Release” and let the steam escape for five minutes, or until the valve
button depresses. It is now secure to raise the lid.

4. In the liquids, shred the chicken using two forks.
Alternatively, take the chicken pieces out with tongs and chop or shred them on
a cutting board. When ready to use, add the meat back to the broth.

Notes:

 You may also use boneless chicken thighs in this
recipe. As instructed in the recipe, pressure cook the chicken thighs on high
for 10 minutes.
