What Makes the Steak Egg and Cheese Bagel at McDonald’s So
Good?
The Steak Egg & Cheese Bagel from McDonald’s sounds
fantastic. A fast food restaurant and steak? The steak is actually more of a
chopped steak than a sirloin, as it turns out. The best way to start your
morning, though, is with a well-seasoned, juicy beef patty, a fluffy folded
egg, and cheese on a freshly toasted bagel.
Reasons to Try This Recipe
McDonalds breakfast bagel sandwiches clearly fit under the
category of limited-time menu items that fast food restaurants use to irritate
customers. They appeared for what seemed like a moment before leaving.
Despite the fact that some McDonald’s have brought them
back, they are still only offered in a few markets and not all McDonald’s
locations. It’s disappointing, but given how simple it is to prepare these
breakfast bagels at home, why not?
Ingredients for a cheese, egg, and steak bagel.
You’ll need these ingredients to prepare McDonald’s bagel
sandwiches with steak, eggs, and cheese: • Plain bagels.
• Genuine Butter.
• The white onion.
• Chuck ground.
• Worchester sauce.
• Salt.
• Powdered garlic.
• Pepper, ground.
• Big eggs.
• American cheese slices.
• Yellow mustard; mayonnaise.
• New dill.
Instead of a ground steak patty, you can substitute leftover
steak. Simply reheat it in the skillet.
McDonald’s bagel sauce is made by:
1. Combine the dill, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise in a
small bowl.
2. Stir to thoroughly blend.
In order to prepare the McDonald’s Steak Bagels:
1. Divide the bagels in half, then butter each half.
2. To crisp up the bagels, lay them cut-side-down in a
skillet over medium heat. You must toast the bagels in groups unless you use a
large skillet or griddle. You can also use a toaster as an alternative. Toasted
bagels should be set aside for later.
3. You can cut a half an onion into slices while the bagels
are browning.
4. Add some butter to the heated skillet once the bagels
have been toasted, and then saute the thinly sliced onions until they are
transparent. Put away for later.
5. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck,
Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Gently rub the
seasoning into the meat with your fingertips.
6. Divide the spiced ground beef evenly into four parts.
Shape each part into a circular patty that is half an inch thick. Put them away
until you need them.
7. Clearly wash your hands.
8. After cleaning the pan, heat it up over medium-high heat.
9. In the pan, fry the patties for three minutes on each
side, or until fully done. Again, you might need to cook in batches depending
on the size of your pan. To keep the beef warm, place the cooked patties on a
baking sheet covered with aluminium foil.
10. Use a paper towel to dry the pan and then add some
butter.
11. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. The four eggs
should be whisked in a bowl while the butter is melting.
12. Pour half of the beaten eggs into the pan and slightly
scramble them with a rubber spatula. Once the surface of the eggs is mostly
dry, leave them alone.
13. After dividing the eggs in half, top them with two
cheese slices placed side by side. Until the cheese melts, keep the pan
covered.
14. Split the eggs in half using the spatula. Place one half
of each on top of the reserved patty.
15. Continue with the remaining cheese and eggs.
Putting together a McD’s steak bagel:
1. Spread part of the sauce on the toasted bagels’ two
sides.
2. Top the bagel with the second half after placing the beef
patty, egg, and cheese on one side of the bagel. Repeat with the other
sandwiches.
3. Serve right away.
Serving suggestions for them.
These breakfast sandwiches go well with homemade tater tots
or a hash brown patty. For a complete lunch, add your preferred hot coffee or
homemade McDonald’s iced coffee.
How to Keep Them Safe.
Wrap a McDonald’s steak egg & cheese bagel in aluminium
foil and store it in the fridge in an airtight container to keep it fresh for
up to three days.
The sandwiches in aluminium foil can be frozen for up to a
month if they are kept there for prolonged storage.
How to Prepare Them Ahead of Time and Reheat.
If you want to prepare a lot of food for the week in
advance, McDonald’s Steak Bagels are fantastic. Sandwiches that have been
completely assembled can be frozen.
The alternative option is to freeze the cooked beef patty
and eggs separately, then, when you reheat the eggs and meat, toast the bagel
and add the cheese. While the second approach guarantees crispy bagels, the
first is quicker.
What Reheat Method Is Best for These.
The microwave is the quickest warming technique. Remove the
sandwich from its plastic wrap and place it inside a paper towel. For
approximately a minute, or until the meat is hot, reheat a frozen sandwich. For
around two minutes, microwave breakfast sandwiches using frozen bagels.
Sandwiches made with thawed bagel can also be heated in the
oven. The sandwiches should be heated for 8 to 10 minutes in an oven preheated
to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Steak Egg and Cheese Bagel
With this simple copycat recipe, you can replicate
McDonald’s steak, egg, and cheese bagels at home.
Ingredients:
- 4 plain bagels,
- 5 tablespoons of butter
divided, - 1/2 white onion,
- 1 pound of ground beef,
- 2 tablespoons of
Worcestershire sauce, - 1/2 teaspoon each of salt,
- garlic powder,
- pepper,
- 4
eggs, - 4 slices of American cheese,
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise,
- 1 tablespoon yellow
mustard, - 1/2 teaspoon dill.
Instructions
1. Divide the bagels’ tops and bottoms. Each bagel half
should have about 1/2 tablespoon of butter spread on the cut side before being
placed butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until lightly
toasted for 1 to 2 minutes. The bagels should be taken out of the griddle and
put aside.
1. Add the onions and 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet.
The onions should be sautéed for 2 to 3 minutes until transparent. The onions
should be taken out of the skillet and put aside.
2. Combine the Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder,
ground black pepper, and ground chuck in a mixing bowl. Use your hands to
thoroughly combine the mixture. Shape the mixture into a single, sizable ball.
To divide the ball into four equal pieces, divide it in half twice. Each part
should be formed into a flat, circular patty that is about 1/2 inch thick (they
will slightly expand after cooking).
3. Cook the patties in the skillet for about 3 minutes on
each side, or until they are thoroughly heated through. From the skillet,
remove the burgers. Sweep the skillet with a paper towel after discarding the
fat.
4. Slightly lower the heat and coat the skillet with
nonstick cooking spray. Pour the whisked eggs onto the skillet and let them
cook for two to three minutes without moving them. Using a spatula, fold the
eggs into a half-circle once they are done on the bottom. Cook the eggs for a
further 1 to 2 minutes, or until fully done.
5. Over the eggs, place 2 pieces of cheese placed side by
side. Cook until the cheese begins to melt. The eggs are divided in half to
form two quarter circles. Turn off the heat and leave the pot alone.
6. Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, and dill in a small
mixing dish. Mix thoroughly.
7. To assemble the sandwiches, cover all 8 faces of the
toasted bagels with the mayonnaise mixture. The bottom halves of the bagels
should be topped with an egg, cheese, onion, and steak patty.
Notes:
When beating the eggs, add a few tablespoons of water
for a fluffier appearance and flavour.
