The Best Margarita Recipe Agave
The BEST margaritas we’ve ever had, according to The Best
Margarita Recipe! These simple homemade margaritas have nuanced flavours that
are acidic, sweet, and even nutty.
The Traditional Margarita
Let’s discuss margaritas with Lt. Dan, my husband.
Dear Friends: Lt. Dan is back to share some rambling views
and tales.
Mrs. Spicy has kept me tied up in a back room working on
various elements of A Spicy Perspective, so I haven’t posted much lately. But
because it’s Cinco de Mayo, she let me go for a little so I could make some
queso and guacamole and share my favourite margarita recipe with you all.
I’m joking.
What images come to mind when you think of margaritas? Is
there sand, sun, and clear water involved? Maybe some pals on a pontoon boat on
the lake? Imagine having a pool in your backyard, music playing in the background,
chips and salsa on the picnic table, with laughter and good times all around.
Or perhaps your favourite eatery, where tacos and fajitas
are served alongside salt-rimmed glasses of drink known as the “concoction
that helps me hang on.”
Wherever it leads, it is undoubtedly a cheerful spot,
usually containing sunshine, friends, food, and entertainment.
Margaritas are not traditionally a serious beverage, one
where you sit in a huge leather chair and think about the world while smoking a
jacket.
It’s not a “sophisticated” adult beverage like a
Martinez or Manhattan.
Frankly, it is different for everyone and never the same
depending on who you ask. There are many different ways to order a margarita,
including spicy, frozen, top shelf, bottom shelf, with a beer in the middle,
smokey, salt-rimmed, not salt-rimmed, sugar-rimmed, up, with ice, in a glass,
in a pitcher (better), in a funnel (that was fun), with a shot (yes please), in
your hand (it’s time for a break…)
You see what I mean.
Everyone generally enjoys margaritas, regardless of how they
are served.
Homemade Best Margaritas Recipe
In my perspective, the components that truly distinguish a
Mexican margarita are as follows:
• decent Tequila: Try a decent blanco or reposado tequila;
the older the tequila, the smoother it is.
• For a rich flavour, combine Triple Sec and La Belle (or
Grand Marnier), or use cointreau or another preferred orange liqueur.
• Homemade Simple Syrup, which can be used to make a skinny
margarita or to balance the alcohol.
• A tiny splash of orange juice to add sweetness and more
zesty, citrusy flavour.
• Fresh limes: The citrusy acid in fresh lime juice adds a
touch of the tropics.
• Garnishes: lime wedges, orange slices, and coarse or flake
sea salt for the glass rim.
You can adjust the remaining components to your preference,
but try to stick with fresh limes and high-quality tequila.
The Best Margarita Recipe
In our home, “The Best Margarita Recipe” is a
favourite. It’s flavorful and straightforward.
Because they are so potent, it should be noted that they may
possibly be dubbed Knock You Naked Margaritas.
Despite being boozy and limey, these babies are nevertheless
well-balanced with a touch of sweetness and salt. Although on this particular
day we had homemade margaritas for two in a cocktail shaker, we usually make
them by the pitcher (or two).
Usually, we share with pals. (Or we serve something else
because we drank the pitcher before they arrived).
How To Make Margaritas At Home
The Best Margarita Recipe has the advantage that all the
ingredients can actually be added at once to a pitcher and left there until
you’re ready to serve.
However, here it is in case you require a step-by-step:
1. If you don’t already have any simple syrup, start by
preparing some. Combine 7 ounces of water and 7 ounces of sugar. until the
sugar has dissolved, microwave. There should be some more for rimming the
glasses since you should have about 9 to 10 ounces.
2. Fill a sizable pitcher with all the ingredients at this
time. Stir well and let cool.
3. Spoon the leftover simple syrup into a shallow dish when
you’re ready to serve. In a second shallow dish, add coarse or sea salt. After
that, sprinkle sea salt and simple syrup on the glass rims. If you want to
serve your homemade margaritas on the rocks, put some ice in the glasses and
fill the shaker with ice. Pour the margarita mix into the shaker and shake for
10 to 15 seconds.
Serve the glasses after adding a salted rim and lime or
orange slices. Ole’!
Cheers to May 5th!
Questions and Answers
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO MAKE BLENDED MARGARITAS?
Although we prefer our margaritas on the rocks, this recipe
also makes tasty blended (frozen) margaritas that are fun and icy.
Mix the margarita ingredients with 2 to 3 cups of ice cubes
in a blender. until smooth, puree.
Check out these Easiest Frozen Margaritas, though, if you’re
searching for a very easy, quick frozen margarita recipe.
HOW DO I MAKE THE BEST MARGARITA RECIPE IN A SINGLE SERVING?
You don’t require a full pitcher. No issue! Pour 2 ounces of
Tequila, 2 ounces of lime juice, 1 ounce of La Belle, 3/4 ounce of simple
syrup, 1/3 ounce of orange juice, and 1/3 ounce of Triple Sec into a shaker for
individual servings.
DO I NEED TO USE GRAND MARNIER AND TRIPLE SEC?
Certainly, you may choose between the two. They do taste a
little bit different, so Dan loves to add both. He claims that combining them
both improves flavour depth.
CAN I BUY A SIMPLE SYRUP RATHER THAN MAKE IT?
Yes, you may purchase some simple syrups to use in
margaritas. Dan would suggest the following brands: Proof Syrup, Uncommon
Goods, Yes Cocktail Company, Barsmith (for a budget-friendly choice).
If you’d want, you may also prepare agave syrup.
HOW ARE LEFTOVER MARGARITAS STORED?
If you do have any leftovers (unlike me, hehe), put them in
a freezer-safe container and store them there. Mason jars work well for this,
particularly if you want to freeze them in single-serving portions to make it
simpler to remove them and enjoy them later.
